Why I Love Essential Oils
NEWSLETTER No 11
When I was asked to make products in addition to my Nourishing Face Balm, my Aromatherapist friend suggested I study to ensure I was doing the right things for my customers.

What I loved about studying is being introduced to so many wonderful natural fragrances, and the amazing benefits they have for the mind and body.

There are so many to choose from! I hope to tell you the best secrets about them and why I put the Oils in the Products.

A sample of others include Basil, Bergamot, Carrot Seed, Immortelle, Niaouli, Oregano, Sweet Orange, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Pomegranate Seed, Myrrh, Black Spruce, Rosemary, Fennel, Lemongrass, Macadamia, Tea Tree, Geranium and more.

With my collection of Essential Oils, I always try to write a recipe that has the best blend and benefits for the most effective results.

Basil
Basil - The King of Herbs
Basil (Ocimum basilicum), known as the King of Herbs, belongs to the Mint family. The word "basil" comes from the Greek word "basileus," which means "king."   Basil is used a lot in our Italian cooking to make fresh home made sauces, pesto and parmigiana melenzane to name a few.   But did you know Basil has therapeutic propeties too?

Basil Essential Oil helps treat nausea, indigestions, diabetes, respiratory problems, constipation and motion sickness.  It is a good source of Potassium, Vitamin A, Magnesium, Iron and Calcium.

Basil helps the lack of concentration, fatigue, lethargy with the fresh and herbaceous aroma it has with warm spicy undertones. Useful for relieving mental overload and anxiety.
