We have just returned from having 8 days of Spring Holidays in Italy.

There is so much to see, eat and enjoy whilst in Italy. We flew down to Naples where we based ourselves in Sorrento before exploring the Southern parts. Then we took the fast train up to Rome finishing off the week.

The area is cultivating heaven for anyone who loves Citrus fruits. Amongst many home grown fruits and vegetables are the Lemons.The Lemons are used for everything from Soaps, Sweets, Cookies, Chocolates and of course Limoncello. Shame I didn't manage to get a decent photo of the fresh lemons for this to be about the lemons. But we did bring home some Limoncello, biscuits and soaps!!

Remember always to bring your sun protection, hats and the right shoes for exploring and enjoying the sites of Italy. Keep some space in your luggage for your shopping and room in your belly for all the food & gelato!!

The Naples - Sorrento - Positano - Amalfi Coast is saturated with giant Oranges and Lemons, thanks to the fertile land around the region of Mt Vesuvius...

I just love the fragrance of these plants, and I wish I was tall enough to grab some of the flowers.Often called 'Sweet Orange oil', the Citrus sinensi is derived from the outer peel of the fruit and has been used for centuries because of its immune-boosting effects.
