There's been a few changes at Essentially Lili. Whilst most of it has been exciting, other parts of these changes have been rather frustrating for me.
The first came when I had to sack my Jar supplier last year, taking weeks to find another to replace the Essentially Lili 50g size. I must say we love the new ones but it came with another job for my husband. He had to redo all the labels for those 50g Jars, lids & bottles as the original designs no longer fit.
The Labels took ages to redesign and send off for printing. Whilst we love the colour coding of the products, sometimes I get them mixed up and accidentally send the wrong product to Customers. My sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by my error (if this has happened to you).
I recently asked my customers about Die Post Prices on the Instagram/Facebook Page. The majority of you said you didn't want any changes. However, let me explain what's happened.
Postage & Packaging has been the latest pain for Essentially Lili. Due to the height of the new jars compared to the original 50g size, this has allowed Die Post to charge me all sorts of prices when sending out Customer packages. Almost every single person at the counter has charged me something different for the same package, to the point where I have had to return with multiple receipts and complain to Management. I use the foam to balance out the size of the package as well as protect the bottles inside.
All the parcels sent are weight based. In Switzerland if the parcel is under 250g it is considered a Brief and should cost under 4.50 CHF. Anything over 251g is a Package and should cost under 11 CHF. I send everything A Post Priority Next Day Delivery, which includes in that cost, the package being registered, trackable and insured.
Yesterday, a parcel with 1 x 50g Jar and 2 x 10ml bottles was altered by Die Post worker from the higher price to a lower price. Today, a parcel with only 1 x 50g Jar was almost charged the higher price, despite being only 90g in weight. It drives me bananas trying to figure out what I'm going to be charged when I go to the Post with your parcels.
A suggestion was made that we should allow Customers to choose between A & B Post. So we have added the B Post Economy Option for Switzerland as an option. If chosen, it means your package will arrive in 2-3 Days instead of Next Day Delivery.
Outside of Switzerland, the Post is Registered, Insured and requires a Signature. In the past we have had issues where packages went missing. This way the packages can be traced and have to be signed for when delivered. Should you have any concerns or issues with any of this, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I always try my best to ensure that first and foremost, YOU get the best customer service from me and Essentially Lili. I sincerely apologise for this annoying aspect of what is otherwise a whole lot of fun with creating your parcels.
If you have any other suggestions with how I can overcome this issue, please let me know. Thanks Lili x
Note: The Pics includes packaging options: new boxes, envelopes & packing tape from Rajapack; Flyers, Business & Postcards from Moo; Recycled bubble wrap & foam for securing the packages and a whole lot of love in the products made by Essentially Lili x
