Testimonials for me is when someone shares their personal individual story of struggle, trials, falling, rising and reaching their goal. Whether it’s a combination of health & diet, studies and a higher purpose in life.

Often, someone comes to me privately on a direct message asking for help.Usually it’s skin related – Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne and dry skin.For me, who has had a history with dry irritated sensitive Eczema prone skin, these issues are something I can help with first hand.But sometimes the condition is something that I haven’t suffered or endured before. Therefore, providing help requires a little more time to research before coming up with a small batch of product for them to try out.

In 2016, I was asked to make a product for Sun Spots and Discolouration. I made both Sun Kissed Serum and Sun Kissed Balm for this condition, giving out samples to try out.Then I received this testimonial in message in Feb & April 2018:

After enjoying too much sun in Spain some time back, I got some really nasty brown blotches on my cheeks. I was so bad, I had to use a lot of foundation to cover them up, and I am really not a foundation person.Lili recommended the Sun Kissed Balm and I started using the Balm in the evening, after cleansing my face with Cypress Cleansing Balm. It took a couple of weeks to see the first effect, I had to be a bit patient, yet my skin recovered over time and today I am back to a healthy skin tone. In 2018, a Mum asked for help with Cystic Acne.I suggested the Cypress Cleansing Balm , Magic Serum and Evanesce Balm combination.Then I received this testimonial in message in Feb 2018:

A customer asks for a Combination of Kids and Adult Products, including Vitamin Rich for the combination of Acne/Rosacea.Then she wrote to me in April:

Sometimes my products don’t work out the first time. I initially made What Crow’s Feet in 2016 for the Eyes, but then when one of my dedicated testers reacted, I stopped making it.Then I made the Cool Eyes when I found the glass jars. I love this tiny pot of Gold magic, but it’s not about what I think. It’s what my customers think.

In August 2017, one suffering with Milia wrote this:

LOVE IT! The Cool Eyes is super creamy & smooth and it hydrates the skin around my eyes. The best thing is it reduced the Milia I have around my eyes. I see results just after 3 weeks of usage! And the product is all natural. I’m so glad that I found this Lili.

Another Customer needed a little convincing to try out the Cool Eyes but was soon very thankful she had bought it:

The Mandarin Lip Balm is one of the latest products to the range.After a few attempts, we quite like this latest blend with Mandarin and Tea Tree, which helps get rid of any infections and viruses too. I took it to a Women’s Meet up in Zurich this March and let the ladies sample it. I know I can’t complain about this result that she wrote the next day:

Lili, your Mandarin Lip Balm was really good. I have found only one good in 40 years and yours is the 2nd best one!!

Another Customer wrote to me:
I had a persistent hard sore on my lip which nothing seemed to make it go away. I have been using the Mandarin Lip Balm since it was made and the hard sore has gone, my lips are now soft again. Not much is required either! Thanks so much.

This story is by far the best result. When I was asked about 2nd degree burns, I was thinking about the products I make, the age of the child and what would be best for her skin. I made my suggestion to the concerned and stressed out mum when she replied, ‘No, I was told to get Renew Balm ’. I went back through my reviews and testimonials and found a comment made by my brother in Australia.

I have been using the Renew Balm for some time now and it has completely renewed the skin on my hands. I had an acid burn that has now cleared up completely. Thanks Lili.

The Renew Balm was sent over to the little girl and I waited for updates, when I received this 2 months later:
My 5 year-old daughter spilt boiling hot tea down her upper chest and ended up with second degree burns. It had blistered and the doctors were very concerned about scaring, especially since it’s such an important part of the female body. We needed to apply any form of cream (of our choice) to the scar every day for at least a year and to be prepared for a scar. Once the last scabs had fallen away, a friend recommended we try the Essentially Lili Renew Balm . We rubbed it on her scar every day for 2 months and she already has no marks left to show. There are so many stories which just make me so happy to read and know that the Essentially Lili products have contributed to bringing happiness to that situation. Where the conditions are more serious and gut related, don’t forget to keep an eye on your diet / food intake to ensure that you’re not aggravating the skin. In Summary, if you want to make a change to your diet, start my reducing the saturated fats, sugars, carbs and processed foods. Eat more greens and salads as they are lighter to digest.

On the newsletter, I wrote about Carrot Seed Essential Oil.
To make your own gentle scrub for your face, place these ingredients into a jar and scoop when needed.
• Add Honey which is great for healing the skin as it allows the skin to maintain moisture and keep it soft.
• Coconut Oil which is antifungal and also helps moisturise the skin.
• Add the grounded Coffee to the scrub.It has antioxidants which help your skin, but also give the texture for gently scrubbing off skin cells that no longer need to be there!
• Add a few drops of Carrot Seed Oil to the mix, which is fabulous for all skin types, as well as boosting skin that has been sun-damaged.
• Alternative ingredients – You can use Oatmeal, Olive Oil, Lavender or Tea Tree Essential Oil.

Fusion of Essential Oils

I love to experiment with the Essential Oils I have, but don’t use enough.We often hear a lot about ingredients like Lavender and Frankincense, but not necessarily others like Lemongrass or Jasmine.

Whilst making my customer’s products, I decided to make myself something new using Grapefruit White, Lemongrass and Jasmine.The Vegetable Oils selected also keep the skin hydrated, are rich in Vitamins and help conditions like varicose veins. I called it Jazz Body Butter but this could change depending on the vote from my customers.

Mine and my husband’s instant reaction was that it has an Asian fusion that smelt a lot like yummy Thai food.   He was worried about this new product being the replacement of his other favourite Mint Body Butter.  He loves how it smells like Aero Bar and using the product feels like smothering yourself in chocolate.The best part of using these body butter is that it melts onto the skin as soon as it’s in contact with your skin.

The benefits of using the Body Butters is that they contain Vegetable Oils that are rich in vitamins
A, B, C, E and Omega 6 Fatty Acids and Lecithin. Wouldn’t you love to use a body butter that helps your skin repair as well as keep it nourished? The ingredients chosen for the 2 body butters also help with Varicose Veins which is a bonus.

I also decided to change the blend of the Hemp Hands.  It was originally made with Vanilla and Macadamia, which sounds delish like an ice-cream combo. But I wasn’t sure it was the right blend for this product.  What I love is asking my Customers what they think and what they would like to have in their products.  And just like that – out went Vanilla and Macadamia whilst n came Rose, Palmarosa and Rosemary to make the Rosey Hemp Hands products.

For Kids, I made the Natural Baby Moisturising Oil which has a gentle combination including Lavender which can be applied from face to feet. The ingredients are chosen help nourish the skin as also have the antiseptic properties for cuts and rashes they may have to overcome. The other product I have for Newborn babies is the Happy Babies Hydrosol which is made using Aloe Vera and floral Hydrolats. This product helps soothe and calm skin issues like baby rashes which are common during their early years.

Sometimes, all-natural products behave according to the weather: When it’s super cold, they can become hard, solid and difficult to apply; When it’s very hot, they can become soft and often runny. But being resourceful, we just need to think outside the box when trying to apply these!

Clean hands is a must for applying our products!Using your thumbnail to remove the balms is the other suggestion as it’s the best way to apply any of the Essentially Lili all-natural skincare products to your face, hands, feet and body!Your thumbnail allows you to apply throughout the day without needing to carry around a spatula!!

When I’m travelling in the summertime, I have found my products can become super soft from the heat. o if you are travelling by plane, keep your Essentially Lili products with your checked in luggage as it will remain cooler in the hold. I usually keep my sample pots in my carry-on luggage as it’s small enough to reapply during the flight and prevent my skin from dehydrating. When I arrive at the destination, I put my jars and sample pots into the fridge at the hotel/apartment/resort. Not only will the products re-set, but they will be lovely and cool when you need to reapply after being out in the sun all day.

When the weather is too cold, they can become solid and hard.The solution for the kid’s product is to run the bottom of the jar under warm running water to soften the Cocoa Butter and then give it a good shake. Sometimes, the product clogs the inner tube – so I suggest that you remove it, rinse it out, dry it and then re-insert it.

The best thing about all-natural products are that whilst I am making them fresh, they will not be tainted with other chemical or synthetic ingredients. Unlike commercially made products that are made to squeeze out with the same consistency, all-natural products that are untainted do what they should do ‘ naturally’.So when you receive your products, they will hopefully arrive quickly and without being stuck under a heater in the Post-Person’s delivery van which can make them look like a tsunami!

But if they do, just remember you can put your products in the fridge to re-set them!
