Testimonials for me is when someone shares their personal individual story of struggle, trials, falling, rising and reaching their goal. Whether it’s a combination of health & diet, studies and a higher purpose in life.

Often, someone comes to me privately on a direct message asking for help.Usually it’s skin related – Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne and dry skin.For me, who has had a history with dry irritated sensitive Eczema prone skin, these issues are something I can help with first hand.But sometimes the condition is something that I haven’t suffered or endured before. Therefore, providing help requires a little more time to research before coming up with a small batch of product for them to try out.

In 2016, I was asked to make a product for Sun Spots and Discolouration. I made both Sun Kissed Serum and Sun Kissed Balm for this condition, giving out samples to try out.Then I received this testimonial in message in Feb & April 2018:

After enjoying too much sun in Spain some time back, I got some really nasty brown blotches on my cheeks. I was so bad, I had to use a lot of foundation to cover them up, and I am really not a foundation person.Lili recommended the Sun Kissed Balm and I started using the Balm in the evening, after cleansing my face with Cypress Cleansing Balm. It took a couple of weeks to see the first effect, I had to be a bit patient, yet my skin recovered over time and today I am back to a healthy skin tone. People around me noticed the difference and started positively commenting on my skin and how it recovered. I can recommend the Sun Kissed Balm and I am now more careful when out in the sun. In 2018, a Mum asked for help with Cystic Acne.I suggested the Cypress Cleansing Balm , Magic Serum and Evanesce Balm combination.Then I received this testimonial in message in Feb 2018:

Sometimes my products don’t work out the first time. I initially made What Crow’s Feet in 2016 for the Eyes, but then when one of my dedicated testers reacted, I stopped making it.Then I made the Cool Eyes when I found the glass jars. I love this tiny pot of Gold magic, but it’s not about what I think. It’s what my customers think.

In August 2017, one suffering with Milia wrote this:

LOVE IT! The Cool Eyes is super creamy & smooth and it hydrates the skin around my eyes. The best thing is it reduced the Milia I have around my eyes. I see results just after 3 weeks of usage! And the product is all natural. I’m so glad that I found this Lili.

The Mandarin Lip Balm is one of the latest products to the range.After a few attempts, we quite like this latest blend with Mandarin and Tea Tree, which helps get rid of any infections and viruses too. I took it to a Women’s Meet up in Zurich this March and let the ladies sample it. I know I can’t complain about this result that she wrote the next day:

Lili, your Mandarin Lip Balm was really good. I have found only one good in 40 years and yours is the 2nd best one!!

Another Customer wrote to me:
I had a persistent hard sore on my lip which nothing seemed to make it go away. I have been using the Mandarin Lip Balm since it was made and the hard sore has gone, my lips are now soft again. Not much is required either! Thanks so much.

This story is by far the best result. When I was asked about 2nd degree burns, I was thinking about the products I make, the age of the child and what would be best for her skin. I made my suggestion to the concerned and stressed out mum when she replied, ‘No, I was told to get Renew Balm ’. I went back through my reviews and testimonials and found a comment made by my brother in Australia.

I have been using the Renew Balm for some time now and it has completely renewed the skin on my hands. I had an acid burn that has now cleared up completely. Thanks Lili.

The Renew Balm was sent over to the little girl and I waited for updates, when I received this 2 months later:
My 5 year-old daughter spilt boiling hot tea down her upper chest and ended up with second degree burns. It had blistered and the doctors were very concerned about scaring, especially since it’s such an important part of the female body. We needed to apply any form of cream (of our choice) to the scar every day for at least a year and to be prepared for a scar. Where the conditions are more serious and gut related, don’t forget to keep an eye on your diet / food intake to ensure that you’re not aggravating the skin. In Summary, if you want to make a change to your diet, start my reducing the saturated fats, sugars, carbs and processed foods. Eat more greens and salads as they are lighter to digest.

On the newsletter, I wrote about Carrot Seed Essential Oil.
To make your own gentle scrub for your face, place these ingredients into a jar and scoop when needed.
• Add Honey which is great for healing the skin as it allows the skin to maintain moisture and keep it soft.
• Coconut Oil which is antifungal and also helps moisturise the skin.
• Add the grounded Coffee to the scrub.It has antioxidants which help your skin, but also give the texture for gently scrubbing off skin cells that no longer need to be there!
• Add a few drops of Carrot Seed Oil to the mix, which is fabulous for all skin types, as well as boosting skin that has been sun-damaged.
• Alternative ingredients – You can use Oatmeal, Olive Oil, Lavender or Tea Tree Essential Oil.

Often we assume that only women enjoy looking after & pampering themselves.
Though lately, the trend for Men’s personal grooming, whether it’s for their beards and faces is a lot more popular. When I was young, I used to watch my Dad foam his face with the brush and then shave his face, before slapping on Tabac Cologne. My Dad maintained his curly hair short, kept his fingernails filed, trimmed and clean.It was part of his military training as a young man in Italy. For me, this is what men were supposed to do.

Today, all the additional aspects of Men’s personal grooming is cool and trendy, and shows that a man loves to take care of himself beyond just shaving. Even TV shows like ‘Suits’ shows the character Louis Litt in a Mud Bath as part of his relaxation therapy!!Women love the appearance of a man who is well groomed from hair to feet. Made more popular when the man is fit, healthy and has a matching six-pack like Magic Mike’s team.

When I began making the skincare products, my husband thought mine was a bit too ‘girly’ for him. Going through my list of Essential Oils and their amazing benefits, I developed the Hydrating Face Balm with its masculine scent which reminded both of us of the aftershave called ‘Aramis’. Have you ever just wanted to look like the Super Model advertising the brand of skincare, makeup, clothing, and hair products? Have you ever thought to yourself, ‘If I buy that, I will look like them?’ Well, that’s what I used to do when I was a teenager, covered from head to thighs in weeping and bleeding Eczema.

I remember feeling hideous and noticing that people stared at me, a LOT. It made me feel insecure and lacking confidence, as I tried to go about my business unnoticed.

During my youth, I used all sorts of medications, cortisone, antibiotics, natural treatments, suction cups, Chinese & Herbal medicines, Acupuncture, exercise, Naturopaths, Homeopathy, and finally Aromatherapy. When I suggest to my customers, ‘I know what you mean, I have tried a lot of methods to find a solution’, I’m definitely not kidding.

I imagine what it would have been like if someone had given my parents a small ‘Pot of Magic’ when I was growing up.How that may have changed my life, my experiences, my confidence, and ultimately how I felt about myself. To think how being ill can have such a debilitating effect on our self-esteem, we can only really overcome this with the love and support of family & friends.

For me, the all-natural Nourishing Face Balm has kept my skin free of Eczema, dryness, irritation and redness.It keeps me moisturised all year round despite the weather conditions.
During the Swiss winters, my skin is soft and fresh, whilst the summers, it’s hydrated and nourished even after a day out in the sun.It’s definitely maintained the youthfulness of my own skin as I approach the next ‘decade’, more so than when I was in my teens.

Now let’s fast forward to the past few years of making miracles in a jar.I try not to give high expectations in case people are disappointed, so I try to be a bit more realistic idea of when they should see results. What I love is when the results come even faster than what I was anticipating!The first testimonials were from women using my Signature product Nourishing Face Balm. It had calmed Rosacea for women almost overnight, and for others, it had cleared Eczema and redness around the nose area very quickly.

I initially made Renew Balm for Eczema and Oasis Balm for Psoriasis for a lady who was suffering in Albania. I asked friends of mine to translate the ingredients and instructions in order for her to understand what to do with the products. Apparently she tried it once and gave up.

Unsure if the product was good or not, I sampled out what I had to others. The feedback for the Renew Balm was mixed between those that had quick results and others who didn’t’ want to persist with trying. Oasis Balm I used myself to moisturise my hands, when another lady based in Switzerland asked if she could have some.I sent her the remaining 5ml sample pot and waited. The next day, she posted before and after photos of the Psoriasis that was on her elbows which had almost disappeared. The transformation was so evident, it was hard to believe the difference was from the night before. This 5ml sample was enough to change not only her life but that of her father’s in Ireland. I was more than delighted for her that the product had worked so quickly!

Another lady asked me about the Cool Eyes which contains the Cucumber Oil and Myrrh Essential Oil.The Cucumber smells so fresh whilst the Myrrh is thick and gooey like molasses.
I explained how to use the Cool Eyes in the mornings around the eye frames.

Soon after obtaining it and applying it, she told me that she had the skin condition around the eyes called Milia. Milium cysts are like a small white bump that can appear on the nose and cheeks around the eyes. They occur when keratin becomes trapped beneath the surface of the skin. This condition had gone down since using the Cool Eyes. I was chuffed with that result. Another customer wrote that the Cool Eyes prevented her eyes from being irritated like other products and brands had.

I made Evanesce Balm to help someone who suffered with Acne spots and breakouts on their back.
Knowing it would be difficult to apply the Magic Serum in some parts of the body, I wrote the recipe for Evanesce Balm, choosing a positive name which means to ‘disappear’ like Magic! I sent the product abroad and waited for feedback – I am not sure the product was used consistently to get the results. Others asked if I had something to help with Acne, and the sampling began again. The feedback came rather quickly – cyst type acne had cleared up, persistent spots reduced and breakouts kept under control. The age group ranged from 10 to 30s, as the ingredients were gentle enough for a youngster’s skin, as well as those who seem to be going through postnatal hormonal changes too.

Go Molly came about when a friend asked if I could help with Flying Warts, otherwise known as Molluscum contagious. I kept visualising how I would apply this if it were on me and thus the instructions for the application came about. With persistence, my friend applied as much as her child would let her. And they slowly but surely vanished. Another mum heard about the product and got a bottle for her twins and applied as much as she could. These poor kids had been going to get them cut off for over 1 year and she was beyond sick of this condition.A few weeks later she called and asked for another bottle and brought the kids for me to meet.
Raising his T-Shirt to show me, there were only a few left on his tummy – the rest had disappeared.

For me, the best part of what I do is helping others.I love researching and writing recipes for the products I make in order to help the people who ask me for help. Sometimes I get it right the first time, whilst other times I have to keep blending until the consistency of what I want is reached. The feedback and reviews together with the messages asking how to apply when the original instruction doesn’t work are all part of what I offer.It makes me feel happy knowing there is one less person with low self-esteem, yet one MORE who has found confidence and a glow.

After-all, isn’t that what life should be about? Being able to face whatever challenges you have, with your best foot forward, knowing that how you feel on the inside is mirrored on the outside.
